Zeina Jhaish is a Palestinian writer and educator based in Canada. She is the prose and poetry editor for Sumou Magazine, and previously Mcsway McGill’s Project Lead. Zeina wrote her first poem at 10 and performed poetry for the first time at 15. She explores love, womanhood, resistance, and diasporic identity through her work. Her work has been published in Unootha Magazine, The Ghassan Kanafani Anthology, Ward E-mag, Shut Up and Go, Muslim Girl, and The McGill Tribune. When Zeina is not teaching or performing, she enjoys traveling, and anything that has to do with spending time by the ocean.
