Zeina Jhaish is a Palestinian writer, educator, and based in Tio’tia:ke (Montreal, Canada). She is the prose and poetry editor for Sumou Magazine, and previously Mcsway McGill’s Project Lead. Zeina wrote her first poem at 10 and performed poetry for the first time at 15. Her work explores (self) love, womanhood, resistance, and diasporic identity. Her work has been published in Prism International, Unootha Magazine, The Ghassan Kanafani Anthology, and, Muslim Girl. When Zeina is not teaching or performing, she enjoys travelling, and anything that has to do with spending time by the ocean.
